Frank Shelf

Backstory:
Frank Shelf was initially the pseudonym of a lone busker who played on the streets of Manchester. Frank, real name Franklin Sheldrake, was known for his husky voice and soulful lyrics that reflected his experiences on the streets. His music resonated with the people, and he soon gained a following. On one of his usual busking days, he was spotted by indie-pop band members Jake Granger and Nina Harper. They were mesmerized by his raw talent and invited him to form a band, keeping the name ‘Frank Shelf’ as a tribute to Frank’s street journey. They added their own flair to Frank’s music, complementing his earthy tones with their soft indie-pop feel, creating a unique sound that took the local music scene by storm.

Song Title:
“Whiskey Lullaby”

Full Song Lyrics with Chord Progression:

(Verse 1: C G Am F)
In the corners of the northern city,
With whiskey lullabies and a heart so gritty,
Down the lanes where the night sky was pretty,
I found my voice, found my ditty.

(Chorus: G Am F C)
Oh, Whiskey Lullaby, (C G)
You’ve been my only ally, (Am F)
Through the stormy nights and the days so dry, (G Am)
Keep me humming, till the day I die. (F C)

(Verse 2: C G Am F)
Streetlight stories and neon dreams,
In solid walls, I carved my seams,
With tunes of love and silent screams,
In the melody, my soul redeems.

(Chorus: G Am F C)
Oh, Whiskey Lullaby, (C G)
In your rhythm, my secrets lie, (Am F)
Through the unheard echoes of my sigh, (G Am)
Keep me singing, till the day I die. (F C)

Bands Favorite Fan:
Our favorite fan is a woman named Emily Briggs. She was one of Frank’s earliest supporters when he was busking on the streets of Manchester. Emily has attended every local gig, rain, or shine, always standing front row, singing along to every word.

Emily’s Testimonial:
“Frank Shelf is more than just a band to me. Their music speaks to my soul. It’s raw, real, and resonates with my life experiences. There’s a comfort in knowing that you’re not alone, and their songs give me that. They started from the streets, and their journey inspires me every day. They’ve kept their authenticity intact, and that’s why they’re my absolute favorite.”
