Backstory:
Hailing from the quaint country town of Nashville, Tennessee, Homely Boss was first started in 2017 by four best friends who shared the dream of making music that resonated with people from all walks of life. The band members, lead vocalist Jim Evans (guitar), drummer Sam Parsons, keyboardist Ryan Myers, and bassist Luke Thompson, were all childhood friends who grew up jamming together in their parents’ garages. Their breakthrough came in 2019 when they won the well-known local talent show “Nashville’s Rising Stars.” The band’s authentic and heartfelt music, combined with their genuine friendship, struck a chord with audiences, leading them to quickly become one of the most beloved bands in the local music scene.

Title:
“Whiskey Lullaby”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Cadd9 G
Underneath the silver moon,
Em7 D
Where the stars are shining bright,
Cadd9 G
I sit here with my guitar,
Em7 D
Strumming through the night.
(Chorus)
G D
Sing me a whiskey lullaby,
Em7 Cadd9
To the rhythm of the southern skies,
G D
Let your troubles float away,
Em7 Cadd9
In the soft glow of the day.
(Verse 2)
Cadd9 G
I’ve been down and I’ve been lost,
Em7 D
But I’ve found my way back home,
Cadd9 G
With this old guitar in my hands,
Em7 D
I know I’m never alone.
(Chorus)
G D
Sing me a whiskey lullaby,
Em7 Cadd9
Underneath the moon so high,
G D
Let’s share a drink and a melody,
Em7 Cadd9
Here’s to you and here’s to me.
(Bridge)
Em7 D
We’ve got miles to go,
Cadd9 G
But we’re making this journey slow,
Em7 D
With a song in our hearts,
Cadd9 G
We’re never really apart.
(Chorus)
G D
Sing me a whiskey lullaby,
Em7 Cadd9
To the rhythm of the southern night,
G D
Let your troubles float away,
Em7 Cadd9
In the soft glow of the day.
