Backstory:
Born in the underground music scene of Manchester, England, Ajar Milk emerged from the shadows in 2012. The band was formed when childhood friends, frontman Lucas Holmes and drummer Craig Thompson, stumbled upon guitarist Jenny Bentley busking in the city center. Struck by her raw talent, they invited her to join them. The trio was later joined by bassist, Eliza Fields. Together, they started creating music in a tiny garage, their name inspired by an old milk jar they used as an ashtray during practice sessions.

Their journey was anything but smooth. Juggling day jobs while trying to make their music heard, the band played at small local gigs and open mics. Their big break came when their demo tape was discovered by indie producer, Ray Donovan, leading them to their first record deal. Since then, Ajar Milk has been steadily climbing the charts, proving that their unique sound has a place in the world of music.

The band’s favorite fan is named Sophie Hayes. Sophie is a music journalist who stumbled upon Ajar Milk during their initial struggling days. Encouraged by their raw talent and unique sound, Sophie used her platform to promote them. She has been at every gig and has interviewed the band on multiple occasions.
