Alienated Awareness

Backstory:

Alienated Awareness began as an experimental collaboration between two high school friends, Tobias “Toby” Winchester and Eloise “Elle” Krieger, in the mid-2000s. Toby, an introspective poet with an odd sense of humor, and Elle, a classically trained violinist with a rebellious streak, found a shared passion in their love for music that pushed the boundaries. They began laying down tracks in Toby’s basement, resulting in a distinct, compelling sound that combined profound, offbeat lyrics with hauntingly beautiful melodies. Upon graduation, they moved to Austin, Texas, where they quickly caught the attention of indie music enthusiasts with their raw, authentic performances. The duo was soon signed by an independent record label and began their professional journey as Alienated Awareness.

Title:

“Eclipse of Reason”

Full Song Lyrics:

[Verse 1: D – Bm – G – A]
In the barren landscape of your silence, (D – Bm)
My words wander aimlessly, (G – A)
We’re two planets in different orbits, (D – Bm)
An eclipse of reason, can’t you see? (G – A)

[Chorus: G – D – A – D]
In your shadow, I’ve become the night, (G – D)
Eclipsed by your indifference, out of sight. (A – D)
But I’ll break free, like a comet in the sky, (G – D)
No longer eclipsed, no need to lie. (A – D)

[Verse 2: D – Bm – G – A]
Under the weight of your cold indifference, (D – Bm)
My heart beats a lonely tune, (G – A)
But I’ve found solace in the stars above, (D – Bm)
Beneath the melancholic moon. (G – A)

[Chorus: G – D – A – D]
In your shadow, I’ve become the night, (G – D)
Eclipsed by your indifference, out of sight. (A – D)
But I’ll break free, like a comet in the sky, (G – D)
No longer eclipsed, no more goodbyes. (A – D)
