Backstory:
Aware Modification emerged from the lively music scene of Manchester, UK, in 2013. The band’s founding members, lead vocalist and guitarist Ian Richardson and bassist Martin Baker, were coworkers in a local record store, bonding over a shared appreciation for musicians who pushed boundaries and experimented with sound. They decided to start a band, recruiting drummer Pete Evans and keyboardist Sarah Phillips from the vibrant local scene. The band’s name, Aware Modification, encapsulates their intention to evolve and adapt their sound constantly, reflecting their commitment to creative growth and experimentation.
