Aware Uncle

Backstory:

Aware Uncle was formed in the heart of San Francisco’s bustling underground music scene in 2009. The band members, lead vocalist and guitarist Jude, bassist Carl, drummer Shawn and keyboardist Ethan, were college buddies sharing an apartment and a love for music that transcended conventional genres. They started jamming together in their living room, and their combined talents created a sound that was as compelling as it was unique. Laid back as they might be, the boys know when to turn up the intensity. This duality gives them an edge in the music industry, making Aware Uncle a name to be reckoned with.

Genre:

Aware Uncle is best known for their fusion of alternative rock and indie pop, creating a sound that is both gritty and melodic. Inspired by bands like Radiohead and The National, Aware Uncle maintains an edgy, raw sound while incorporating catchy melodies and lyrics that provoke thought.

“Broken Mirrors”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] Looking at my reflection in the [D] broken mirrors,
[Em] Lost in the echoes of my [C] silent fears,
[G] Walking on the fragments of my [D] shattered dreams,
[Em] Drowning in the depth of life’s [C] silent screams.

(Chorus)
[G] In the broken mirrors, I see my [D] face,
[Em] Trapped in time, stuck in this [C] forsaken place,
[G] In the broken mirrors, I find my [D] trace,
[Em] Hoping for salvation, seeking His [C] grace.

(Verse 2)
[G] Catching my breath in the [D] morning light,
[Em] Struggling with shadows, I [C] fight the fight,
[G] In the silence of the night, I [D] call your name,
[Em] Searching for the peace, in this [C] endless game.

(Chorus)
[G] In the broken mirrors, I see my [D] past,
[Em] Running from shadows, escaping [C] fast,
[G] In the broken mirrors, I see the [D] blast,
[Em] Hoping for the dawn, to come at [C] last.
