Back Skin

Backstory:
Back Skin, a grungy garage rock band, was born in the heart of the Manhattan underground music scene in the early 2000s. The band was formed by four childhood friends: lead singer and guitarist, Jesse “Ripper” Reynolds, bassist, Charlie “Sledge” Sanders, drummer, Mickey “Mauler” Mathews, and keyboardist, Ronnie “Ravager” Roberts. The name ‘Back Skin’ was derived from an unfortunate incident where Reynolds fell off a skateboard and scraped off a significant patch of skin off his back. The boys, who had been looking for a band name at the time, saw this as a sign and decided to name the band after the incident.

“Concrete Jungle Serenade”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] Streets are burning, [C] smoky air,
[Em] Lost souls wandering, [D] no one cares,
[G] Neon lights, [C] people’s stares,
[Em] In this concrete jungle, [D] love is rare.

(Chorus)
[Am] Here I sing my [G] serenade,
[C] To the city that [D] never fades,
[Am] In the heart of [G] the urban charade,
[C] This is my concrete [D] jungle serenade.

(Verse 2)
[G] Broken dreams, [C] scattered and torn,
[Em] Among the derelict, [D] the lost and forlorn,
[G] From dusk till [C] early morn,
[Em] In this desolate place, [D] we are reborn.

(Chorus)
[Am] Here I sing my [G] serenade,
[C] To the city that [D] never fades,
[Am] In the heart of [G] the urban charade,
[C] This is my concrete [D] jungle serenade.
