Backstory:

Bubbly Participant is a dynamic fusion of four friends—James Tiller on vocals and guitar, Sarah Lockhart on drums, Leo Ramirez on bass, and Katie Hughes on keyboard. The four met while studying music at the University of California, Berkley. Originally jamming out in their dorm rooms for fun, they quickly realized they had something special. James’ melodic, hook-laden songwriting, Sarah’s tight drumming, Leo’s bold bass lines, and Katie’s wizardry on the keys combined to form a unique sound that couldn’t be contained. They decided to form a band, and Bubbly Participant was born.

During their time at Berkley, Bubbly Participant began performing at local bars and events. They quickly gained a following due to their energetic performances and infectious melodies. The band’s popularity began to grow beyond the Berkley campus, capturing the attention of various record labels. This led to them being signed by indie label ‘Rhythmic Brew’, where the band’s journey really took off.
