Backstory:
The story of Bulky Post begins in the heart of Dublin, Ireland, where four university friends discovered a shared passion for music and storytelling. Each member of the band – frontman Sean O’Reilly, lead guitarist Patrick Brennan, bassist Declan Murphy, and drummer Conor Flynn – all have roots deeply entrenched in the Irish music scene. However, it was a chance encounter with an old, discarded postbox, bulky and beaten down by the weather, that inspired them to form a band and tell stories of life, love, and loss through their music, thus giving birth to Bulky Post.
Despite their humble beginnings, the band soon found a growing fanbase in their city and beyond. They earned their spot in the local scene with their energy-filled performances and unique sound. Over time, they also developed a reputation for their songwriting skills, with lyrics that manage to be both deeply personal and universally relatable. The band’s journey has not been without its challenges, but they’ve remained true to their roots and continue to deliver music that resonates with their fans.

Title:
Lost Letters
Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em
Under the grey Dublin sky,
G
Found a postbox, weathered and dry.
C
Heart full of stories untold,
Am
Silent witness, secrets it holds.
(Verse 2)
Em
The letters it had, now lost in time,
G
Love confessed, and sins of crime.
C
Stories of joy, tales of despair,
Am
History whispered in the cold night air.
(Chorus)
D
Oh, the bulky post,
G
Keeper of secrets, silent host.
C
In your heart, these lost letters lie,
Am
Echoes of time, beneath the Irish sky.
(Verse 3)
Em
We play our songs to your silent beat,
G
In pubs and streets, where old friends meet.
C
Our melodies paint your tales anew,
Am
In every chord, a tribute to you.
(Chorus)
D
Oh, the bulky post,
G
In your honor, we raise a toast.
C
To the stories lost, but not forgotten,
Am
In our hearts, they remain unbegotten.

Testimonial:
Bulky Post is, without a doubt, my favorite band. Their music is something I deeply connect with. From the first time I saw them perform at a small pub in Dublin, I knew they were something special. Their songs tell stories that resonate with my own life experiences and their authenticity shines through in every performance. To me, Bulky Post isn’t just a band, they are the storytellers of our generation. Their music is the soundtrack to my life, and I couldn’t imagine a world without it.
