Candid Conduct

Backstory:

Candid Conduct was formed in the bustling city of Chicago in 2014. The band members, who were all high school friends, discovered their shared love for music at a local open mic night. Jake Harper, the charismatic and soulful lead singer and guitarist, was the catalyst that brought the group together. Joining him were his long-time friends, Riley Matthews on drums, Alex Nelson on bass guitar, and Emma Stevenson on keyboard. What began as just jamming sessions in Jake’s garage, soon took a turn towards the professional when they won the ‘Battle of the Bands’ in their local community. Their unique sound and truthful lyrics resonated with the audience, and there was no looking back after that.

The name “Candid Conduct” was chosen as it represented their straightforward and honest approach to their music. Each song they write is born out of real-life experiences, emotions, and stories that they believe need to be shared with the world. They consider music as a cathartic process and a medium to express and communicate feelings that often go unheard.

Fan Testimonial:

“My name is Sarah Thompson, and I am without a doubt Candid Conduct’s biggest fan. Their music speaks to me on a personal level and has been my companion during many tough times. I remember the first time I heard, ‘Silhouettes in the Rain,’ it felt as if they had put my feelings into words. Their music is honest, raw, and has a soul. For me, Candid Conduct is more than just a band, their music is my refuge, my solace.”
