Terrible Rat

Backstory:

Terrible Rat, conceived in the dimly lit basement of an apartment complex in Brooklyn, started as a passion project between childhood friends, Max Carter and Sam Thompson. Max, a lanky, eccentric pianist with a penchant for creating compelling melodies, and Sam, a deep-voiced, charismatic lyricist, found common ground in their love for music. Unlike most bands that strove for mainstream success, Terrible Rat preferred staying on the fringes, away from the spotlight, crafting their unique sound that was reminiscent of their gritty city lives.

Max and Sam have always been explorative with their sound, taking cues from their surroundings and weaving them into their music. Terrible Rat’s journey is one marked by unconventionalism, a bold testament to their refusal to stick to the status quo. These are artists who speak their truth through music, resonating with a fan base that appreciates their raw expressiveness and authenticity.

Title:

“Rooftop Serenade”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse One)
Cmaj7 G/B
Wandering through city lights,
Am Em
Lost in the rhythm of the night.
Cmaj7 G/B
Concrete jungle, metallic maze,
Am Em
Roaring with life, in a smoky haze.

(Chorus)
G/B Cmaj7 Amin Em
Here we are, beneath the stars,
G/B Cmaj7 Amin Em
On the rooftop, we strum our guitars,
G/B Cmaj7 Amin Em
Singing our, rooftop serenade,
G/B Cmaj7 Amin Em
In the heart of the city, where legends are made.

(Verse Two)
Cmaj7 G/B
Steel sky towers, like silent guards,
Am Em
Under their watch, we play our cards.
Cmaj7 G/B
Whispers in the wind, secrets to tell,
Am Em
In this city of dreams, where we fell.

(Chorus)
G/B Cmaj7 Amin Em
Here we are, beneath the stars,
G/B Cmaj7 Amin Em
On the rooftop, we strum our guitars,
G/B Cmaj7 Amin Em
Singing our, rooftop serenade,
G/B Cmaj7 Amin Em
In the heart of the city, where legends are made.
