Backstory:
Cavernous Hearing was formed in the dreary corners of London, England in 2010, initially as an indie rock band. The band was started by childhood friends, John Buckingham (vocals and rhythm guitar), Sirus Mulligan (lead guitar), and Samuel Tredwell (drums), who bonded in the school music room over their shared love for underground rock and indie music. In 2012, they were joined by Cora Davis (bass and backing vocals), who brought a new dynamism to their sound. Together, they make music that resonates with the experiences of the younger generation, capturing the heartbreaks, triumphs, and existential angst of modern life.

Title:
“Echoes in the Abyss”
Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Wandering through the caverns of my mind,
[D] Searching for a reason, a sign.
[Em] Lost in the echoes of the time,
[C] Hoping for your touch, so kind.
(Chorus)
[G] Echoes in the Abyss,
[D] Your love is what I miss.
[Em] Drowning in the empty space,
[C] Longing for your warm embrace.
(Verse 2)
[G] The memories are carved on the cave walls,
[D] Our laughter still echoes in the halls.
[Em] Now it’s just your absence that calls,
[C] And in the silence, my heart falls.
(Chorus)
[G] Echoes in the Abyss,
[D] Your love is what I miss.
[Em] Trapped in the cavernous hearing,
[C] Your silence is so deafening.
(Outro)
[G] Now, I’m just an echo in the abyss,
[D] Lost in the cavernous hearing,
[Em] Your love, your touch, your kiss,
[C] Is all that my heart is yearning.
