Backstory:

Flickering Awareness is a culmination of four individuals – Jack, Nicole, Mick, and Ed, who met during their college years at Berklee College of Music. Jack and Mick were roommates and both shared a passion for songwriting and guitar playing. Nicole was a powerhouse vocalist and Ed, originally a classical pianist, brought an unexpected but appreciated flare to the sound. After many late-night jam sessions in their Boston dorm rooms, they decided to form a band in 2012. Inspired by the notion of momentary realizations and the ephemeral nature of life, they named their group ‘Flickering Awareness.’

Genre:

Flickering Awareness falls into the Indie Folk Rock genre, interweaving poetic, thoughtful lyrics with acoustic melodies and an ethereal electric touch. They credit their influences to bands like Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, and Fleet Foxes.

Title:
