Colossal Movie

Backstory:

Colossal Movie, born in the neon-lit city of Los Angeles, California, began as a basement project between best friends and movie buffs, Ethan Foster and Danny Mason. Both working as projectionists in an old-school art house cinema, they found their inspiration in the flickering images on the big screen and decided to couple their love for movies with their shared passion for music. Thus, Colossal Movie was born, a band that aimed to capture the essence of film and translate it into sound. Joined by drummer Amy Diaz and bassist Pete Rowland, they quickly became a local sensation, earning a cult following with their evocative and cinematic music.

Title:

“Silver Screen Serenade”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am / G / D / Am
We’re dancing in the aisle, under a silver screen,
Am / G / D / Am
With popcorn in our hands, living the American dream.
Am / G / D / Am
Her smile, a technicolor spell, as the movie starts to roll,
Am / G / D / Am
Our hearts play the soundtrack, in stereo, in stereo.

(Chorus)
C / G / Am / Em
Oh, Silver Screen Serenade,
C / G / Am / Em
In a world of our own, we’ve got it made.
C / G / Am / Em
In the flickering light, we find our way,
C / G / Am / Em
Oh, Silver Screen Serenade, serenade today.

(Verse 2)
Am / G / D / Am
From classic noir to sci-fi, our love story unfolds,
Am / G / D / Am
With every frame and every scene, a new tale is told.
Am / G / D / Am
She’s my leading lady, and I’m her leading man,
Am / G / D / Am
We’re caught up in this movie magic, just like we planned.

(Chorus)
C / G / Am / Em
Oh, Silver Screen Serenade,
C / G / Am / Em
In a world of our own, we’ve got it made.
C / G / Am / Em
In the flickering light, we find our way,
C / G / Am / Em
Oh, Silver Screen Serenade, serenade today.

Why and how this band is their favorite (Testimonial):

Tommy says, “As a fellow projectionist, I immediately connected with Colossal Movie. They’ve brilliantly crafted this beautiful bridge between cinema and music. Every time I listen to ‘Silver Screen Serenade’, I feel as though I’m in a movie. The lyrics, the melody, it all takes me back to the first time I fell in love with films. They’re not just a band to me, they’re storytellers, and I’m one lucky listener.”
