Creamy Telephone

Backstory:
In the eclectic heart of Portland, Oregon, a unique ensemble named ‘Creamy Telephone’ was born. It all started in the vibrant, bustling cafés of this artistic city, where the four members first crossed paths. Thomas Whitman, a barista with a knack for guitar and a deep love for music, met Daisy Sullivan, a gifted violinist, at his work. They then stumbled upon the charismatic drummer, Jake Gallagher, performing at a local open mic night. Lastly, they encountered the ethereal voice of Grace Cumberbatch, a British expat with a love for the whimsical, in a downtown record store. Their shared love for music, coffee, and all things vintage brought them together, and Creamy Telephone was formed.

Combining their varied musical backgrounds, the quartic created a sound that was uniquely their own. Starting off with impromptu gigs in the same coffee shops where they first met, they soon caught the attention of Portland’s music scene. Their unconventional style and heartfelt lyrics resonated with many, catapulting them to local stardom in a relatively short time. The band continues to charm audiences with their music, drawing inspiration from their daily lives, shared experiences, and the vibrant city they call home.

(Verse 1)
[G] Waking up to the [D] sound of the [Em] city,

[G] Echoes in the [D] coffee shop, [Em] melodies intertwine,
[C] Pouring out our [G] hearts, in [D] every cappuccino line.
[G] The world is spinning [D] fast, but [Em] we’re taking our time,
[C] Singing to the [G] rhythm of a [D] creamy telephone line.

[G] Love notes in the [D] froth of a [Em] latte,

[C] Daisy’s violin, [G] my guitar, [D] make the rhythm sweet.

[G] Echoes in the [D] coffee shop, [Em] melodies intertwine,
[C] Pouring out our [G] love, in [D] every cappuccino line.
