Backstory:
Formed in 2010, New Gene is a band born out of the shared passion for music of four college friends from the famed Berklee College of Music in Boston. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Tom O’Connor, drummer Lucy Daniels, bassist Sean McManus, and keyboardist Rufus Green. Their name, New Gene, came into existence as they believed their music was introducing a new genetic code in the world of music, blending old and new trends.

They started out playing in local Boston pubs, slowly gaining a following for their unique sound and raw energy. Their big break came in 2013 when they were spotted by a music executive while playing at a local music festival. They moved to Los Angeles, California to sign a contract with a major record label. New Gene has since then been taking the music industry by storm one album at a time.

Their favorite fan is a 24-year-old woman named Emily Harris. Emily has been obsessed with New Gene since she first heard them play in a small pub in Boston.
