Backstory:

Creepy Trader was formed in the heart of New Orleans in 2000 by childhood best friends, Thom Jagger and Matty Simmons. Both grew up in the city’s vibrant music scene, raised on a blend of blues, jazz, and rock n’ roll. After years of experimenting with their sound in local gigs, they decided to go down a path less traveled. They wanted to blend their roots in blues and jazz with their love for the dark and supernatural, influenced by the city’s rich folklore and haunting stories. Soon the duo grew to a quintet, adding drummer Leo ‘Bones’ Perry, bassist Dominic ‘Voodoo’ Jones, and keyboardist Bella ‘Mystic’ Grace to the lineup.

Creepy Trader quickly gained a loyal fan base due to their unique sound, dark storytelling, and energetic live performances. Their concerts are theatrical spectacles, burying audiences under waves of moody melodies, while their lyrics tell tales of voodoo, hauntings, and shadowy figures. Over the years, Creepy Trader has evolved, but their core essence remains the same – a blend of old school blues and jazz with a touch of the macabre.
