Vacant Spoon

Backstory:

Vacant Spoon was formed in 2013 in the bustling city of Austin, Texas, a town renowned for its vibrant music scene. The band’s founding members, frontman Jamie Frost and guitarist Alex McAllister, initially bonded over their shared love for vintage records in the back corner of an old vinyl shop. They decided to fuse their talent and passion into creating original music that mirrored the depth and authenticity of the music they admired.

Over time, the band expanded to include drummer Sara “Sticks” Evans, bassist Daniel “Dizzy” Martinez, and keyboardist Clara “Keys” Gibson. Together, they started performing at local pubs, climbing their way up the ladder of the Austin music scene until they became one of the town’s most beloved local bands. Vacant Spoon’s music was noted for its introspective lyrics and powerful melodies that resonated with a wide range of audiences.

Song Title:

“Echoes of Yesterday”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[C] Drifting through the [Am] hallways,
[F] Pictures on the [G] wall,
[C] Memories that [Am] haunts us,
[F] Echoes of [G] yesterday’s call.

(Chorus)
[C] Oh, we’re spinning [Am] round and round,
[F] Lost in the sound,
[G] Of the echoes of yesterday.
[C] In the silence [Am] we drown,
[F] As the past comes [G] crashing down,
[C] We’re just echoes [Am] of yesterday.

(Verse 2)
[C] Shadows in the [Am] mirror,
[F] Faces we once [G] knew,
[C] Time has been a [Am] thief,
[F] Stealing moments [G] we thought were true.
