Title: “River’s Edge”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1: E – A – D – G)
Down at the river’s edge, I found my mind,
In the cool rushin’ water, left my troubles behind.
Strummin’ on my old guitar, under the sycamore tree,
I wrote a ballad for you, babe, hoping you’d come back to me.

(Chorus: C – G – D)
Down at the river’s edge, under the crimson sky,
I’m just a Crooked Bird, singing a lullaby.
My heart is aching, babe, like a broken wing,
But I’ll keep on singing, for you, I’d do anything.

(Verse 2: E – A – D – G)
The moon was a silver coin, reflected in your eyes,
I traced the constellations, in our Louisiana skies.
We danced by the river’s edge, to the music of the night,
Lost in our own world, under the soft moonlight.

Repeat Chorus
