Distorted Atmosphere

Backstory:
Distorted Atmosphere is a group that was formed during a celestial event – the total eclipse of 2017. Four friends, all studying astronomy at a small university in Indiana, found a unique bond over their shared love for both the cosmos and music. The widely publicized eclipse presented an opportunity for an impromptu jam session under the surreal and otherworldly atmosphere, and it was amidst this cosmic spectacle that Distorted Atmosphere was birthed. The band is comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Mark “Orion” O’Reilly, bassist Lucas “Pulsar” Pierce, drummer Emma “Eclipse” Evans, and keyboardist Sam “Supernova” Sanders. Their music seeks to capture the vastness and mystery of the universe, and the distorted, ungraspable nature of reality.

Genre:
Distorted Atmosphere’s music can be best described as Psychedelic Rock, with a blend of Space Rock and Post-Prog elements. Their unique sound is characterized by layers of atmospheric synths, swirling guitar riffs, intricate bass lines, and powerful, echoing drum beats.

Title:
“Stellar Drift”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am F C G
Floating through the silent void, in the dark, no noise
Am F C G
Stars are whispering, the cosmic tale unfolds
Am F C G
We’re but stardust, on a rock, spinning in the cold
Am F C G
Into the abyss, we plunge, into the unknown

(Chorus)
F C G Am
Stellar drift, we float, we shift, in the cosmic rift
F C G Am
Tales of time, they echo, in this stellar drift

(Verse 2)
Am F C G
Galaxies away, the past unfolds, in a starry display
Am F C G
In search of answers, we drift, day by day
Am F C G
In the cosmic sea, we’re lost, in the Milky Way
Am F C G
Chasing constellations, under the moon’s soft ray

(Chorus)
F C G Am
Stellar drift, we float, we shift, in this cosmic rift
F C G Am
Tales of time, they echo, in this stellar drift

Fan’s Testimonial:
“Distorted Atmosphere is like my personal universe. Their music speaks to me on a cosmic level. It’s like each chord is a star, and every song forms a galaxy of emotions. My name is Alex, and I’ve followed this band from their first gig in a small pub, to their grand concerts in sold-out arenas. They’ve been my favorite since that fateful eclipse, and as a fellow astronomy lover, their music is the perfect symphony of my two passions. To me, Distorted Atmosphere isn’t just a band, it’s a journey through the cosmos, and I’m all in for the ride.”
