Early Horse

Backstory:

Born in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, four childhood friends discovered their shared love for music. Charlie (vocals and guitar), Jesse (drums), Sylvia (keyboard, violin), and Leon (bass) started their journey as Early Horse in a small barn, belting out tunes late into the night. Their music drew inspiration from their humble small-town life, captivating tales of the mountains, the people, and their shared experiences. Over the years, they transcended their local fame, taking their storytelling and unique sound to the grand stages of music festivals across the country.

“Whiskey On The Porch”

Lyrics:

Verse 1: (G-D-Am-C)
G D
Sitting on that old porch,
Am C
Whiskey in our hands,
G D
Watching the sunset fade,
Am C
In our promised land.

Chorus: (Em-C-G-D)
Em C
Raise a glass to the sky,
G D
To the stars, we whisper our dreams,
Em C
In the wind, our stories fly,
G D
Lost in the echoes of the streams.

Verse 2: (G-D-Am-C)
G D
Through trials and laughter,
Am C
We’ve walked this path,
G D
With faith and some old-fashion,
Am C
We’ve dodged life’s wrath.

Chorus: (Em-C-G-D)
Em C
Singing our song to the moon,
G D
Dancing with the shadows of the night,
Em C
In this moment, everything’s in tune,
G D
Underneath the soft lantern light.

The band’s favorite fan:

Their favorite fan is Billy Thompson, a night-shift truck driver who claims Early Horse to be his favorite band because their music keeps him company on the road. He loves how their lyrics paint vivid pictures of the mountains and towns he’s driven through countless times. Their songs, especially “Whiskey On The Porch”, remind him of home when he’s miles away. He once wrote them a letter saying, “Early Horse’s music is like a lighthouse in the sea. It keeps me grounded, reminds me of who I am and where I come from. Their songs are my roadmaps, guiding me through the night.” Billy’s devotion and emotional connection to their music affirm the band’s purpose, making him their favorite fan.
