Backstory:
Shallow Skill is a group of four musicians who met in a small town in Ohio. All the members were born and raised in this peaceful place, but they shared a common desire to break free from its monotony through music. The band’s inception dates back to their high school days when they would sneak into the school’s music room after hours to practice. Over time, they evolved from covering popular songs to creating their own unique sound. The band was named ‘Shallow Skill’ ironically, as the members were often underestimated by their peers and teachers due to their unconventional approach to music.
Years of hard work, perseverance, and countless garage jamming sessions led them to their first gig at a local bar. The crowd was initially skeptical, but by the end of the night, the band had won the crowd over. This gig marked the beginning of Shallow Skill’s journey in the music industry. Their music spoke of their experiences, hopes, and dreams, resonating with many who felt trapped in their own monotone lives.
