Elementary Data

Backstory:
Elementary Data was formed in a small basement in Portland, Oregon in 2012 by three childhood friends: lead vocalist and keyboardist, Ben Jacobs, guitarist, Alex Thompson, and drummer, Mike Weaver. They longed for something different, something that would help them escape from the usual noises of the city life. They were all tech enthusiasts and found solace in the world of algorithms, numbers, and programming. It was this unusual combination of a love for music and technology that led to the creation of Elementary Data, a band that seamlessly combines the rhythmic patterns of electronic music with the raw emotion of indie rock.

Initially, Elementary Data struggled to find its footing. However, after performing at a local tech conference in 2013, they were recognized for their unique sound and creative approach to music. Their melding of artificial intelligence, data interpretation, and music resulted in a sound that was both innovative and nostalgic. This exposure led the band to sign a record deal with a major label, propelling them into the limelight of the indie music scene.

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)

In the world of ones and zeros,

We found our hearts beating in sync.

Our love is the missing link.

Infinite loops, endless night,
Em G
In our bytes, we ignite.

Electric pulses guide us,

Through the matrix, we intertwine.

Infinite loops, endless night,
Em G
In our bytes, we ignite.

Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is a data scientist named Lisa. She first discovered Elementary Data while working late in her lab, when their song “Binary Love” started playing on her Spotify. She was immediately captivated by how perfectly the band blended their love for technology with music. As a data scientist, Lisa found a connection with their music that she hadn’t found in any other band.

She said, “Elementary Data’s music speaks to me on a different level. It’s as if they’ve managed to translate the complex world of data science into a language of emotion and melody. It’s a perfect balance between my two loves – Music and Data. They have been my favorite band since that night and I haven’t stopped recommending them to my fellow data enthusiasts. Their music is not just innovative; it’s a celebration of the reality that data isn’t just numbers, it’s a part of our life.”
