Fat Generation

Backstory:

Hailing from the vibrant city of New Orleans, Fat Generation started as a group of high school friends who shared a passion for music and the culinary arts. The quartet met at a local culinary school where they bonded over their love of food and rhythm. They would often spend their afternoons cooking up a storm and composing music to match their culinary creations. Eventually, they decided to take a break from the kitchen and fully commit to their musical pursuits. Their shared culinary background and love for hearty, soulful food heavily influenced their musical style, leading to the formation of Fat Generation.

Genre:

Fat Generation primarily plays a unique fusion of Blues and Rock with a hearty pinch of Jazz. Their music is deeply rooted in their New Orleans background, and the rich, soulful, and joyous tones of their songs are as unique and flavorful as the Creole cuisine they love.

Favorite Fan:

Our favorite fan is Mary Lou, a music-loving grandmother from our hometown of New Orleans. Fat Generation is her favorite band because, as per Mary Lou, “Their music is like a flavorful gumbo – a mix of different tastes and textures that somehow works perfectly. It’s hearty, soulful, and it always leaves me wanting more. Plus, their love for our city and its rich culture shines through their music, making me feel connected to them at a deeper level.”
