Backstory:
Born under the cocoon of a small town in Vermont, ‘Frayed Roof’ came to life when a group of high school friends decided to channel their shared love for music into something tangible. The band members, Luke on lead vocals, Derek on guitar, Matt on drums, and Spencer on bass, set out on their musical journey, practicing in a dilapidated barn studio with a literal frayed roof. The unique band name, therefore, is a homage to their humble beginnings. Their shared experiences, from high-school escapades to heartbreaks, give a raw and relatable quality to their music.

Underneath the frayed roof, we found our truth,

In the echoes of yesterday

Playing for a sea of faces

Singing about life, love, and the loss
G C
We make music under the frayed roof,
Em D
Capture moments and the universal truth

The melody of life, the rhythm of time,

In the echoes of yesterday

Passion running through our veins, like a runaway train,

Ready to take the world by storm

We make music under the frayed roof,

I stumbled upon Frayed Roof during a local music festival and instantly fell in love with their raw and authentic sound. Their music, especially the song “Echoes of Yesterday,” resonates with me on a deep level. It reminds me of my own journey and the echoes of my past. The emotional depth, coupled with their beautiful melodies and heartfelt lyrics, sets them apart. They’re not just another band for me; they’re storytellers. When they sing, it feels as if they’re speaking directly to their listeners, conveying their shared experiences and emotions. Frayed Roof isn’t my favorite band; they’re a part of my life journey. They represent the universal truth of life – the ups and downs, the joys and sorrows, and the beautiful chaos of it all.
