Backstory:
Fruitful Furniture came to be in a dusty old garage in the heart of Austin, Texas in 2017, where four friends decided to combine their love for music and their passion for restoring vintage furniture. The band consists of lead singer and carpenter Jake ‘Chairman’ Brown, bassist and painter Sally ‘Sofa’ Smith, drummer and woodcarver Tom ‘Table’ Thompson, and guitarist and upholsterer Gary ‘Guitar’ Green. They started by playing for their friends at their furniture exhibitions but soon gained local popularity due to their unique sound and quirky stage presence, which often involved worn-out dressers, vibrant sofas, and bright armchairs, serving as an unusual but captivating stage set.
Known for their originality, they soon got an unexpected breakthrough when a small, independent record label noticed them during a local music festival. Their hit single ‘Velvet Love Seat’ was born out of their first recording session, turning the band from a local attraction into a national hit. The band’s motto has always been to create groovy and eclectic music that reflects their love for creativity, craftsmanship, and friendship.
Genre:
Fruitful Furniture plays an eclectic blend of Indie Rock and Art Pop.

Echoes of laughter, whispers of goodbye.

In your shadows, life redeems, Oh, Oak Tree Dreams.
