Backstory:
Golden Satellite was formed in the eclectic city of Austin, Texas, in 2010, when lead vocalist/guitarist Noah Ramsey and drummer Kyle Rincon, college roommates with a shared love for music, decided to join forces. They quickly recruited bassist Lily Matthews and keyboardist Ethan Mars, two friends they met at a local open mic night. Their shared love for vintage music, coupled with a mutual respect for each other’s unique musical abilities, provided the perfect foundation for what would become the band Golden Satellite.
The band spent the next decade playing small gigs and refining their sound, steadily building a loyal fanbase with their high-energy performances and innovative compositions. They released their debut album, “Hazy Skies”, in 2015 which was met with immense positive reception. Their music is often characterized by its rich melodies, the dynamic interplay between the instruments, and lyrics that reflect both personal experiences and socio-political themes.

Title:
“Orbits in the Sky”
Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
E C#m A B
In the warmth of the crimson twilight,
E C#m A B
Under the spell of the starry night,
C#m B A E
We break our chains and take flight,
C#m B A E
With our dreams held tight in the moonlight.
(Chorus)
A E B C#m
We’re just like golden satellites,
A E B C#m
Orbits in the sky, chasing endless nights,
A E B C#m
Lost in our own plight, dancing in the lights,
A E B C#m
Golden satellites, soaring new heights.
(Verse 2)
E C#m A B
In the silence of a thousand echoes,
E C#m A B
We find our rhythm, break the shadows,
C#m B A E
With every beat, our love bellows,
C#m B A E
Like golden satellites, in the meadows.
(Chorus)
A E B C#m
We’re just like golden satellites,
A E B C#m
Orbits in the sky, chasing endless nights,
A E B C#m
Lost in our own plight, dancing in the lights,
A E B C#m
Golden satellites, soaring new heights.
