Handsome Legislation

Backstory:
Handsome Legislation was formed in the heart of Boston in 2010, when law students Dylan Riddle, Ethan Parker, and Mia Harrison decided that they needed an outlet from the manic world of law school. A chance encounter at a college frat party led to a late-night jam session in a cramped dorm room, and thus Handsome Legislation was born. The trio balanced their studies with their music, using their knowledge of law to inspire their lyrical content. The band gained popularity in the local scene, quickly becoming a staple at college festivals and local bars.

Genre:
Handsome Legislation can be classified as Alternative Rock with heavy influences from pop and punk, producing a vibrant and energetic sound. Their music often features thought-provoking lyrics with a strong emphasis on social justice, inspired by their legal background.

Title:
“Justice Served Cold”

Full song lyrics:

[Verse 1]
Am Em G D
In the heart of the city, where the lights are low,
She’s fighting the battle, with the weapon of her words.
In the court of despair, she stands alone,
With the weight of the world, on her fragile bones.

[Chorus]
C G D Em
Justice is served cold, in the halls of gold,
But her heart is bold, justice served cold.

[Verse 2]
Am Em G D
He’s a man in a suit, with a silver tongue,
Playing with fire, and the laws he’s spun.
In the court of deceit, he takes the throne,
But she’ll cut him down, with the truth she’s known.

[Chorus]
C G D Em
Justice is served cold, in the halls of gold,
But her heart is bold, justice served cold.

[End]
Am Em G D
In the end, the gavel falls,
Silence echoes through the halls.
The truth prevails, the liar crawls,
Justice is served cold, after all.
