Backstory:
Heavenly Protein was formed in a small suburban neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Six high school friends, led by charismatic vocalist and songwriter, Bob ‘Bobby’ Planks, found a deep, mutual passion for music and a shared vision of creating something that would inspire others. The band members included Bobby, guitarist Pete ‘the Beat’ Johnson, drummer Kenny ‘the Rhythm’ White, bassist Mike ‘the Groove’ Brown, saxophonist Josh ‘the Jazz’ Smith, and keyboardist Danny ‘the Keys’ Davis.

Heavenly Protein started their journey in Bobby’s parents’ garage, crafting and refining their sound. They played at various local venues, slowly winning the hearts of the audience with their unique blend of funk and soul. Their big break came in 2016, when their demo track caught the attention of the renowned music producer, James ‘the Maestro’ Thompson, who helped them record their debut album.
