Homely Tourist

Backstory:

“Homely Tourist” was born out of the gritty, vibrant music scene of Seattle, back in 2009. The band is made up of five childhood friends who shared a common love for music. They spent their high school years playing in various garage bands, exploring different music styles, and honing their musical skills. After graduating, they decided to stick together, forming “Homely Tourist”. They named the band after their shared experience of feeling like tourists in their hometown, which had changed drastically due to gentrification.

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em C
Long ago, in streets we roamed,
G D
Concrete jungles we used to call home.
Em C
We were wild, hearts on fire,
G D
Dreaming big, reaching higher.

(Chorus)
C G
Evergreen echoes, calling our names,
D Em
Remember the places, nothing’s the same.
C G
Evergreen echoes, lost in time,
D Em
We’d live forever, in our prime.

(Verse 2)
Em C
Years have passed, we’ve come so far,
G D
Playing tunes in smoky bars.
Em C
Life moves fast, like a blur,
G D
But in our songs, our past endure.

(Chorus)
C G
Evergreen echoes, calling our names,
D Em
Remember the places, nothing’s the same.
C G
Evergreen echoes, lost in time,
D Em
We’d live forever, in our prime.

(Bridge)
C G
Raise your voice, let it out,
D Em
In music, we find what life’s about.
C G
Drums and strings, and words we sing,
D Em
To the past, the present, the future we bring.

(Chorus)
C G
Evergreen echoes, calling our names,
D Em
Remember the places, nothing’s the same.
C G
Evergreen echoes, lost in time,
D Em
We’d live forever, in our prime.

Fan Testimonial:

“Hi, I’m Olivia from Spokane. I’ve been following Homely Tourist since their early days. Their music speaks to me in a way no other band has ever done. It carries a sense of nostalgia, yet it feels entirely fresh and new at the same time. Their songs, like “Evergreen Echoes”, remind me of the impermanence of time and the importance of cherishing the memories. Homely Tourist is my favorite band because their music is not just songs, it’s a journey, an experience that resonates deep within my soul.”
