The story

Born in the colorful city of Portland, Oregon, Honest Pop is a group of four friends who wanted to create something that resonated with their shared love for distinctive, soulful, and sincere music. Started in 2015, the band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Sam Jenkins, bassist Lisa White, drummer Noah Foster, and keyboardist Mike Green. The friends met while attending high school together, but it wasn't until they finished college and returned to Portland that they decided to form a band. They chose the name 'Honest Pop' as a testament to their commitment to creating genuine, heartfelt pop music that resonates with people of all ages.

Shadows On The Wall

Verse 1
[Am] Walking alone, on the [G] city streets at night
[Dm] Empty faces, empty [Am] hearts in sight
[Am] Staring at the shadows on the [G] wall
[Dm] Wondering if we'll ever stand [Am] tall

Chorus
[C] Here we are, trying to [G] make it right
[Am] In the silence of the [Em] night
[Dm] We are the shadows on the [Am] wall
[G] Waiting for the morning light to [Am] fall

Verse 2
[Am] Broken dreams, and [G] wounded hearts we wear
[Dm] In a world that seldom [Am] seems to care
[Am] But we are the shadows on the [G] wall
[Dm] And we won't let each other [Am] fall

Chorus
[C] Here we are, in the [G] darkest night
[Am] Fighting our unending [Em] fight
[Dm] We are the shadows on the [Am] wall
[G] Waiting for the morning to [Am] call

Outro
[Dm] So here's to the shadows, the [Am] outcasts, and the brave
[G] Who dare to dream, and never [Am] cave
[Dm] We are the shadows on the [Am] wall
[G] And together, we will stand [Am] tall

Biggest fan

"Honest Pop isn't just a band, it's a movement. It's a call for authenticity in a world that often forgets what being real means. Their music has given me strength in tough times and joy in good times. I connect to their lyrics on a profound level, and I honestly believe they're the best thing to happen to pop music in a long time. They're my favorite band because they make music that matters, that touches your soul, and that’s honestly, so beautifully real."
