Humongous Tongue

Backstory:
Founded in the bustling streets of Soho, London, in 2007, the unique sound of the Humongous Tongue came to life. The band was formed by four childhood friends – Billy, Marcus, Pete, and Tony – who shared an undying love for music. They spent their teenage years playing in different garages, honing their skills, and developing their unique sound. The name of the band came about as a joke when Marcus, known for his long and sharp wit, was described by Billy as having a ‘Humongous Tongue’. The name stuck and resonated with the band’s bold and quirky sound.

Despite the initial struggles, they spent years gigging in small pubs, where they developed a loyal fan base. Their breakthrough came when a music producer heard their set in a local venue. Intrigued by their sound and energy, he offered them a recording contract, and the rest was history.

Title:
“Starry Night’s Elegy”

Full song lyrics with chord progression:

(Verse 1 – Em, D, G, C)
Underneath the starry night, the moonlight’s cold embrace,
Dreams painted in shades of blue, lost in the cosmic race.
Alone on a river bank, where secrets come to play,
The whispers of the universe, have so much to say.

(Chorus – G, D, Em, C)
Starry night’s elegy, sing me your melody,
Lost in your mystery, wrapped in your symphony.
Unravel your secrets, under the moon’s decree,
In your silence, I am free.

(Verse 2 – Em, D, G, C)
Echoes of distant galaxies, in the silence of the night,
Reflections of vanished dreams, in the river’s gentle light.
The canvas of the night sky, painted in shades of truth,
Capture the whispers of my heart, the echoes of my youth.

(Chorus – G, D, Em, C)
Starry night’s elegy, sing me your melody,
Lost in your mystery, wrapped in your symphony.
Unravel your secrets, under the moon’s decree,
In your silence, I am free.

(Bridge – Am, Bm, C, D)
In the silence of the night, truth finds its way,
In the chorus of the stars, I find my own display.
Starry night, you’re my guide, in your arms, I confide.

(Chorus – G, D, Em, C)
Starry night’s elegy, sing me your melody,
Lost in your mystery, wrapped in your symphony.
Unravel your secrets, under the moon’s decree,
In your silence, I am free.

Fan Testimonial:
“To say I love Humongous Tongue would be an understatement. Their music isn’t just music to me, it’s a way of life. It’s the rhythm to my heartbeat, the soundtrack to my thoughts. Billy, Marcus, Pete, and Tony have this incredible ability to capture raw emotion and translate it into a magical musical experience. The progressive rock genre has never spoken to me like it does through them. Their song ‘Starry Night’s Elegy’ is my favorite. It feels like a journey through the cosmos, a dialogue with the universe. I’ve been their fan since their first gig in a small pub in Soho, and I’ll be their fan until the end of time. Keep rocking, guys!”
