Backstory:

Impish Concession is a band that was formed in the charming city of Asheville, North Carolina, in the year 2014. The four original members, comprising Grant Dawson on vocals, Billy Hughes as the lead guitarist, bassist Mike Simmons, and drummer Pete Harper, were all college friends, united by their shared love for music and a desire to experiment with sounds that were off the beaten path. The band started off playing in local bars and college festivals, gradually cultivating a dedicated fan base with their unique sound and electric stage presence.

However, their big break came in the summer of 2017 when they were discovered by a talent scout at the famous Orange Peel music festival. An impressive performance led to a contract with an independent record label, setting the stage for Impish Concession’s ascent into mainstream music. Despite the fame and recognition, the band members have stayed true to their experimental roots and continue to create music that’s exciting, fresh, and unapologetically them.
