Backstory:
Immediate American was formed in the bustling city of Austin, Texas, back in 2010. The band started as a group of four friends – Jake McConaughey on vocals, Sarah Mills on guitar, Tommy Nolan on drums, and Eddie Baxter on bass – who all shared a love for traditional American music, raw energy, and a spirit of rebellion. Their passion brought them together to create something unique and fresh, with a sound that blurs the lines between the past and the present.
Their journey began in the local music scene playing small gigs and quickly gaining a cult following due to their electrifying performances and distinctive sound. Over the years, the band’s popularity exploded nationally with a series of successful albums and sold-out tours. Despite their success, Immediate American has never lost their connection to their roots, often returning to Austin to play intimate shows for their loyal fanbase.
Genre:
The band’s music can be best described as Indie Rock with a twist of Americana and Southern Rock.

“Fast Love, Slow Burn”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Looking in the mirror, [D] city lights behind
[Em] You and I together, [C] chasing the divine
[G] Fast love is a poison, [D] but we drank it down
[Em] In the heart of Texas, [C] in this mighty town
(Chorus)
[G] Fast love, slow burn, [D] it’s a lesson we learn
[Em] Kiss under the moonlight, [C] wait for our turn
[G] Fast love, slow burn, [D] in this world, we yearn
[Em] For an immediate American, [C] for the love, we earn
(Verse 2)
[G] Neon signs are glowing, [D] on this lonely street
[Em] In your arms I’m knowing, [C] love is bittersweet
[G] Our hearts are racing, [D] under the Texan sun
[Em] In the eyes of danger, [C] we find our fun
(Repeat Chorus and Fade)
Favorite Fan:
Their favorite fan is a guy named Ronny from their hometown. Ronny has been there since their very first gig at a local bar and has followed their journey every step of the way. He’s attended every concert within a 200-mile radius and owns every piece of merchandise they’ve ever released.
Testimonial from Ronny: “Immediate American is more than just a band for me. Their music speaks to my soul and has been my constant companion through life’s ups and downs. The raw energy, authenticity, and their connection to their roots make them stand out. Every time I hear ‘Fast Love, Slow Burn’, I am transported back to that very first gig in Austin. Despite their great success, they have never lost their originality, and that’s why they remain my favorite band.”
