Backstory:

Scaly Linen was formed in the small coastal town of Morro Bay, California, where the four members met while working at a local dive bar. Lead singer and guitarist, Sam “Scaly” Davis, had a reputation for his raspy voice and eclectic guitar style. Bass guitarist, Luke “Linen” Hall, with his smooth flowing bass lines, soon joined the act, followed by Vanessa “V” Sage on drums and Jackson “Jax” Reed on keyboards. The band earned its name when a customer commented that their sound was as “comforting as linen, yet had a raw, scaly edge.”

Their big break came when a passing music producer heard them performing at a local music festival. He was drawn to their unique sound and offered them an opportunity to record a demo. The band, previously content with local fame, decided to take the risk and ventured into the larger music arena. Their music resonated with audiences, earning them a spot on national charts and a dedicated fanbase that continues to grow.
