Backstory:
Immediate Vegetable was born out of a shared love for music and the need to express their concern for the environment among four college friends – Jason, Matt, Laura, and Billy. They were all well-known for their music skills in the college circuit, and their passion for creating and playing music was undeniable. They bonded over the idea of using their talent to communicate their concern for the environment and promote veganism. After graduating from college, instead of pursuing individual careers, they came together and formed the band that we know today as ‘Immediate Vegetable.’
The band’s progression was organic and natural. They started off playing at small gigs and college festivals, slowly gaining recognition for their unique sound and message. As they grew more confident, they began to experiment with their sound, blending their love for punk, rock, and folk music. This amalgamation of genres infused with their lyrical content that frequently revolved around themes of environmental conservation, veganism, and nature made them stand out, earning them a loyal fan base.

Title: “Organic Anthem”
Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1)
C • G • Am • F
Living in a world so cold, plastic and steel on a roll,
C • G • Am • F
Skies grey, rivers fume, trapped in a concrete tomb.
C • G • Am • F
Hear our voices rise above, a plea for the earth we love,
C • G • Am • F
Immediate Vegetable, it’s our sustainable call.
(Chorus)
G • D • Em • C
Let’s go back to the roots, pull out these destructing shoots,
G • D • Em • C
Grow organic, live free, Immediate Vegetable, we decree.
(Verse 2)
C • G • Am • F
Fields of green, rivers clear, the earth’s melody we hear,
C • G • Am • F
No more harm, no more pain, let life’s cycle freely reign.
C • G • Am • F
With our guitars strumming loud, we sing our promise proud,
C • G • Am • F
Immediate Vegetable, in nature’s arms we’re vowed.
(Chorus)
G • D • Em • C
Let’s go back to the roots, pull out these destructing shoots,
G • D • Em • C
Grow organic, live free, Immediate Vegetable, we decree.
