Backstory:
Impartial Dad began their musical journey in the small town of Beaufort, South Carolina. The four members, Jack (guitar and vocals), Todd (bass), Kyle (drums), and Nate (keyboard and backup vocals), were all childhood friends who found a shared passion for music during their early high school years. The band name originated from an inside joke that stuck; Jack always used to say that his father was the most impartial referee during their childhood soccer games, hence the name ‘Impartial Dad’.
The band started off by playing at local bars and small gigs, gaining popularity within their community for their unique style and sound. Their journey took a significant turn when a local radio DJ attended one of their performances and was so impressed by their music that he decided to give them airplay. Impartial Dad’s sound quickly resonated with listeners, leading to an increase in demand for their music. This eventually culminated in their signing with a well-known indie record label, kickstarting their dream career.
