Inferior Fish

Backstory:

Inferior Fish originated in the lively streets of Austin, Texas, in 2011. The members, Billy “Bass” Walters, a charismatic bassist, Ronnie “Rhythm” Johnson, an elusive guitarist, and Jimmy “Jazz” Maldonado, a drummer with a hint of madness, met at a local dive bar during an open mic night. They found a shared love for the absurd, the eccentric, and, of course, music. The trio instantly connected over their oddball sense of humor and started jamming together, creating a sound that was as unique as their personalities.

Their journey wasn’t all smooth sailing; the band had their fair share of obstacles. However, they always had a knack for turning those difficulties into inspiration. Their band’s name – Inferior Fish – was a joke turned mantra, emphasizing their belief that everyone, no matter how ‘inferior’, has the potential to create something extraordinary.

Title:
“Swimming in the Ordinary”

Full Song Lyrics:

[Intro]
Am – G – F – C

[Verse 1]
Am – G – F – C
I’m just an Inferior Fish, swimming in the Ordinary,
Drowning in the same old dish, but dreaming of the extraordinary.
Am – G – F – C
I paint my dreams in vibrant hues, I sing my songs to the midnight blues,
Yet I’m still just a fish, circling the common clues.

[Chorus]
Dm – E – Am – C
But oh, what a lovely dive, into the well of the ordinary,
F – C – G
I’m an Inferior Fish with superior dreams, in a world that’s secondary.
Dm – E – Am – C
In the depths of the mundane, I find my true identity,
F – C – G
I’m an Inferior Fish, swimming in the ordinary.

[Repeat Verse 1 and Chorus]
