Backstory:
Joyous Point was formed in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas in a cluttered basement turned recording studio. The lead singer and rhythm guitarist, Nate Rollins, had been carrying around a notebook filled with half-composed songs and a head full of dreams. He teamed up with his long-time friend and drummer, Pete Walker, and effortlessly talented bassist, Lydia Choi. When they added the final member, Sam Dawson, a prodigious lead guitarist, Joyous Point was set to take on the world. The name was inspired by their shared musical vision of creating songs that would serve as a ‘joyous point’ in people’s lives. Their journey started by playing small gigs in local bars and gradually, they gained a loyal fan base, and a record deal.
