Backstory:
Jumbo Engineer was born in the bustling industrial city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The band members, Leo, Max, and Sam, were childhood friends who shared a love for music and engineering. Leo, the lead vocalist and bassist, was an architect, while Max, the drummer, was a civil engineer, and Sam, the guitarist, was an aerospace engineer. They started the band as a pastime to unwind from their rigorous jobs, until they played at an open-mic evening at a local bar and were discovered by a talent agent who saw the unique blend of their professional backgrounds and musical prowess.

The band chose the name Jumbo Engineer as a nod to their combined professions and their shared admiration for the structural strength and majesty of the world’s largest land animal, the elephant. The elephant became a symbol for them; just as an elephant carries heavy weight with grace, they aimed to create music that could carry the weight of people’s emotions and thoughts, providing solace, inspiration, and enjoyment.
