Backstory:
Kooky Connection was formed in the underbelly of Austin, Texas in the year 2014. It all started as a social experiment by two psychology students, Madeline “Maddy” Frost and Ethan Porter, who wanted to probe the impact of music on human emotions. Both shared a passion for music and decided to use it as a medium to express complex emotions. They started by jamming and composing music in their college dorm rooms, and by and by, they recruited three additional members – drummer Liam “Loopy” Grant, bass guitarist Oliver “Ollie” Reed, and keyboardist Rachel “Razz” Stevenson.
Their first gig was a college event, and it instantly catapulted them to local fame. The unique blend of their music, drawing on various influences yet maintaining a distinct flavor, resonated with the audience. The band’s reputation grew, and they started performing at local venues, festivals, and eventually toured across the country. By 2016, Kooky Connection had become a house-hold name among Indie music lovers.

Title:
“Coffee Mug Blues”
Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
G D
Wake up in the morning, with a groan and a yawn
Em C
Sipping on my coffee, just as the day is dawned
G D
The world outside is moving, but I’m just feeling used
Em C
Staring at the bottom, of my coffee mug blues
(Chorus)
G D
I got the coffee mug blues, it’s a bitter brew
Em C
Life ain’t as sweet, as the lies we knew
G D
Stirring up memories, that are no use
Em C
Drowning in the depths, of my coffee mug blues
(Verse 2)
G D
The daylight’s getting older, but my heart’s getting cold
Em C
Reheating my coffee, while your touch grows old
G D
Savoring the silence, absorbing the hues
Em C
Lost in contemplation, of my coffee mug blues
(Chorus)
G D
I got the coffee mug blues, it’s a bitter brew
Em C
Love ain’t as warm, as the lies we knew
G D
Stirring up heartache, that’s still so new
Em C
Sinking in the sorrow, of my coffee mug blues
