Backstory:

Mellow Program entered the music scene as a breath of fresh air in the bustling city of Melbourne, Australia, in 2013. The band began as a duo, comprising of childhood friends, Jack Patterson on the guitar and vocals, and Lily Stevens on the drums. Both were software engineers who decided to swap their code-laden screens for a more creative articulation of their inner worlds. Their synergy and shared passion for music eventually attracted two more members; bassist Oliver Morrison and keyboardist Hanna Foster, making them a unique quartet in the local music scene.

Mellow Program was initially known for their intimate gigs in small, local bars around Melbourne, where they brought together a unique blend of music and tech, creating a sound that was both contemporary and nostalgic. The band’s popularity rapidly grew within the city, and they soon gained recognition on a national level, with their debut album topping the Australian music charts.
