Backstory:
Born from the ashes of a small garage in the outskirts of Brooklyn, New York, Menacing Licence emerged in the late 90s with an undeniable hunger for musical revolution. The four members, lead singer and guitarist Tony “Mad Dog” Mitchell, bassist Jerry “J.R.” Rodriguez, drummer Phil “The Machine” Macintyre, and keyboardist Nick “The Wizard” Wallace, met during their time in high school and bonded over their shared love for music. The name Menacing Licence, according to the band, was derived from their spontaneous and often unpredictable behavior during their early jam sessions. These sessions would frequently end up in chaotic fun, earning them a reputation among their peers as being a harmless yet menacing force. Their unique synergy and distinct sound quickly gained them a loyal following in the local music scene.
Genre:
Menacing Licence’s music can be described as a fusion of rock, punk, and alternative metal, with an edgy attitude and a rebellious spirit that resonates with listeners.
