Twin Dock

Backstory:
Twin Dock is a band that emerged from the heart of the bustling city of Seattle in the year 2015. The band was formed by two sets of identical twin brothers, Mark and Mike Thompson and Ted and Tim James. Both sets of twins grew up together in the same neighborhood and were childhood friends. They discovered their shared love for music in high school when they started composing songs and making music in their garage. After years of honing their skills and performing in local cafes and clubs, they decided to form their own band, “Twin Dock”, symbolizing their dual origins and their shared journey towards a unified musical vision.

Genre:
Twin Dock is known for their alternative rock style with a touch of blues and folk music. Their sound is characterized by strong harmonies, melodic hooks, and intricate guitar work, with lyrics that are often introspective and emotional.

One of their well-known songs is called “Rhythm of Shadows”.

Full song lyrics:

(V) Am / G / Am / G

(Verse 1)
Underneath the (Am) moonlight, by the (G) silent shore,
Counting all the (Am) stars that fell, we (G) don’t talk anymore
Walking on our (Am) separate ways, we’re (G) lost in the war,
Our hearts are (Am) hollow shells, echoing (G) pain we bore.

(Chorus)
(F) Rhythm of shadows, (C) dancing in the dark,
(G) Lost in the echo, of a (Em) love that left its mark.
(F) Rhythm of shadows, (C) traced by the moon,
(G) We’re just prisoners, in the (Em) melody of this tune.

(Verse 2)
Strangers in the (Am) night, victims (G) of the time,
Lost in the (Am) currents, of love’s (G) cruel, fickle tide.
Our love is (Am) a ghost ship, unseen (G) and unheard,
Drifting in the (Am) sea of regrets, never (G) reaching the shore.

(Repeat Chorus)

Fan Testimonial:
Their number one fan, Jessica Stevens, first heard Twin Dock at a local festival and has been following their journey ever since. She says, “What I love most about Twin Dock is their authenticity. They aren’t afraid to show their vulnerability through their lyrics and the raw emotion in their music resonates with me deeply. Their songs are like stories, full of depth and emotion, that I can relate to. They’ve been my favourite band since day one and I can’t wait to hear more from them.”
