Backstory:
Formed in the small coastal town of Penzance, England, Miserable Sword is the brainchild of long-time friends Henry “Hank” Grayson and Callum “Cal” McDowell. After spending their formative years playing in various local bands and honing their musical abilities, the duo decided to step out on their own and create a unique sound that encapsulated their shared love of melancholic melodies and poetic storytelling. The name ‘Miserable Sword’ came to Hank in a dream, a symbol of the struggle and passion found in their music. Joined by drummer Molly “Mo” Higgins and bassist Oliver “Ollie” Barker, they soon became a staple of the local music scene, earning a dedicated fan base with their distinctive sound and captivating live performances.
