Backstory:
Formed in 2010 in the eccentric city of Austin, Texas, Offbeat Basket was the brainchild of high school friends and aspiring musicians, Jasper Brooks and Ethan Vance. They found inspiration in their shared love for eclectic music and unconventional rhythm patterns. Naming their band ‘Offbeat Basket,’ they aimed to play around with varying musical elements and create a fusion that was off the regular music grid. To complete their line-up, they roped in drummer Benjamin ‘Benny’ Rodriguez, a childhood friend, and bassist, Lily Anderson, who they met at a local music festival. Together, they started their journey, playing in local bars and music fests, slowly gaining a loyal fan following for their distinct sound.
