Offensive Twig

Backstory:
Offensive Twig was formed in a small garage in Omaha, Nebraska during a particularly frigid winter in 2005. The founding members, lead vocalist and keyboardist Jimmy “Twig” Thompson, guitarist Paul Roper, bassist Mark Greenfield, and drummer Stuart O’Neil were childhood friends who discovered their shared passion for music and started to jam together. They took their unusual name from Thompson’s lanky physique and the band’s desire to challenge norms with their provocative lyrics and eccentric performances.

Genre: Indie Rock

Song Title: “Frostbitten Solitude”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
E Am D G
In the heart of the winter’s bitter sting,
Determined as the Offensive Twig,
I stand alone, beneath the hoary frost,
In the solitude where I am lost.

(Chorus)
C G D Em
Frostbitten solitude, my secret lair,
C G D Em
In the icy silence, I find solace there.
C G D Em
Wrapped in the cold, with the winter’s song,
C G D Em
In this frostbitten solitude, I am strong.

(Verse 2)
E Am D G
Through the chill wind, and the storm’s lash,
Like a Twig, I stand, unafraid of the crash.
In the depths of winter, I find my truth,
In the frostbitten solitude of my youth.

(Chorus)
C G D Em
Frostbitten solitude, my heart’s cry,
C G D Em
In the icy silence, I learn to fly.
C G D Em
Embracing the cold, with the winter’s hand,
C G D Em
In this frostbitten solitude, I understand.
