Backstory:

Open Union is a band that was formed in the quirky artistic hubs of Austin, Texas, where four longtime friends decided to blend their talents together. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Sam Robinson, lead guitarist and backup vocalist Taylor Brooks, bassist Alex Watson, and drummer Danny Lopez. They all met in high school and bonded over their shared love for music, both as listeners and performers. For a long time, they played at local venues, honing their sound, and ultimately decided to take the leap and turn their passion into a profession. Open Union is known for its energetic performances, relatable lyrics, and captivating melodies, creating a dedicated fanbase that follows them every step of the way.

The band’s favorite fan is Brenda Simmons, a school teacher from Austin. Brenda has been following Open Union since their early days of playing in local venues. She has attended every single one of their shows and has a collection of their merchandise that could rival the band’s own archive. According to Brenda, “Open Union’s music is like a journey.
