Backstory:

Hailing from the eclectic town of Asheville, North Carolina, Optimal Organ was formed back in 2014. The band was a brainchild of childhood friends, Leo Thompson and Jake Neeson, who shared a mutual appreciation for vintage instruments and an inherent love for music. Inspired by the melodic tunes of a church organ, they decided to base their music around this instrument, giving birth to their unique band name ‘Optimal Organ’. The two friends quickly gained a following in the local music scene, captivating audiences with their distinct sound and poetic lyrics.

In the initial stages, Optimal Organ was a two-piece band, with Leo on the organ and lead vocals, and Jake on the guitar and backing vocals. However, in 2016, they expanded their band by adding percussionist Mia Smith and bassist Ben Harper. With the members’ shared passion for creating music that resonates with people, Optimal Organ has been able to grow and transcend the local music scene, garnering fans from all over the world.
