Backstory:
Outlying Characteristic is a band that formed in the heartland of Nebraska. The four members, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Jaxon Thorne, lead guitarist and backup vocalist Olivia ‘Liv’ Reed, bass guitarist and backing vocalist Andrew ‘Drew’ Wilkins, and drummer Elijah ‘Eli’ Mercer, all met in high school. They found a common ground in their love for music and their desire to create something extraordinary. In the early days of their formation, they practiced in each other’s garages, honing their craft before making it to small local gigs. Their shared experiences of growing up in a small, rural town and the daily struggles that came with it, heavily influenced their music.
